(a baseball bat: ) hit lynx with bat
(a sword: ) hit lynx with sword
(a cannon: ) fire cannon at lynx
(a bottle of pepper gas: ) spray pepper on lynx

Some fun things to try:

- did you examine the posters in the IF Shoppe several times?
- did you try typing 'xyzzy' several times?
- near the beginning, you might have seen the text "You feel you could slap yourself for being so off-guard." 
Did you actually try slapping yourself (in the game, that is)?
- did you try to examine your house while in the garden?
- did you examine your nightstand drawer after you got the missing verbs back?
- did you try entering your kitchen?
- did you try going down while in the living-room?
- did you try to *throw* anything else than the snowball at Lynx during the endgame?
