Understand "bite [thing]" or "taste [thing]" as eating.

Instead of eating a thing:

if eating the Q'udzlth:

continue the action;

if eating the player:

continue the action;

otherwise:

say "That's not gonna work!";

stop the action.

[EAT MONSTER]

Instead of eating the Q'udzlth:

say "You open your mouth and lunge at the creature...";

wait for any key;

say "[line break]You hear a wimpy *TINK* as the face shield of your helmet collides with the Q'udzlth.[paragraph break]You should have known better.[paragraph break]Soon it is the Q'udzlth who is eating you!";

end the story.
