Section 3 - The Q'udzlth

[Q'UDZLTH]

The Q'udzlth is an animal in the Isle.

Understand "qudzlth" or "monster" or "beast" or "sea monster" or "sea beast" or "creature" or "kraken" or "squid" or "octopus" or "mass" as the Q'udzlth.

The description of the Q'udzlth is "A hideous fuchsia mass of chitin and pulsating gelatin towers before you on the beach.[paragraph break]The sea beast's glassy black eyes gaze down, close-set in the center of a massive skull crowned with wide curved horns like scimitars. A bugle-like snout juts forth from the spot where a nose or mouth might belong, dripping some foul-looking translucent mucus from its fang-lined bell.[paragraph break]The creature's broad body is plated in a thick rubbery exoskeleton, from under which protrude four mighty tentacles (each the approximate length and girth of your entire self).[paragraph break]The monster looks angry, or hungry, or both."

The tentacles are part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the tentacles is "Four meaty appendages extend from beneath the Q'udzlth's rubbery exoskeleton, glistening with slimy moisture. Each tentacle is roughly as long as you are tall and as thick as you are wide."

Understand "tentacle" as the tentacles.

The exoskeleton is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the exoskeleton is "The massive skull and squat body of the Q'udzlth are covered in thick chitinous armor which appears to be some sort of semi-hard, rubbery exoskeleton."

Understand "chitin" as the exoskeleton.

The eyes are part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the eyes is "The Q'udzlth's black eyes shine like obsidian from the center of its massive skull."

Understand "eye" as the eyes.

The skull is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the skull is "A massive chitinous skull sits atop the Q'udzlth's armored body. In the center of the skull, close-set black eyes glisten with silent rage. Beneath them protrudes a bizarre funnel-like snout. The top of the creature's skull is crowned with a pair of wide curved horns."

Understand "head" or "face" as the skull.

The horns are part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the horns is "Wide, flat, curved, chitinous horns crown the Q'udzlth's massive skull."

Understand "scimitars" or "horn" or "scimitar" as the horns.

The snout is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the snout is "Where one might expect to find a nose or mouth, instead the Q'udzlth has a strange protrusion shaped like a funnel or bugle. The circular bell of the snout is open, revealing rows upon rows of jagged yellow teeth and a long spiny tongue. Translucent slime drips from the orifice."

Understand "bugle" or "funnel" or "bell" or "orifice" or "nose" or "mouth" as the snout.

The teeth are part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the teeth is "Inside the Q'udzlth's funnel-like orifice are rows upon rows of jagged yellow fangs."

Understand "tooth" or "fang" or "fangs" as the teeth.

The tongue is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the tongue is "From the Q'udzlth's open snout hangs a long, noodle-like tongue covered in hairy spines."

Understand "noodle" or "spines" or "spine" as the tongue.

The mucus is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the mucus is "Thick, translucent saliva drips from the open orifice at the end of the Q'udzlth's snout. It's an unpleasant-looking substance that probably serves some digestive purpose."

Understand "goo" or "slime" or "saliva" or "acid" as the mucus.

The body is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the body is "The body of the Q'udzlth is short and wide and covered in a sort of rubbery exoskeleton. Four massive tentacles extend from beneath the beast's chitinous armor."

The gelatin is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the gelatin is "Any parts of the Q'udzlth not covered by the exoskeleton resemble some sort of pink jelly."

Understand "jelly" as the gelatin.

The moisture is part of the Q'udzlth.

The description of the moisture is "The Q'udzlth is generally wet-looking. The moisture itself is not that interesting."
